Vicky Isted

Foundation Lead

Vicky qualified as a Teacher in Wales in 2007 specialising in Early Years. She joined Rye Primary as Early Years Lead in 2014 and leads the school Village Project. Vicky teaches in Minnows class and spends regular time within Pugwash. Vicky holds a pediatric first aid certificate, an NPQML in leadership, is one of the schools DSL's and a subject leader for Music and RSHE for the school. Vicky oversees the teaching and learning within Pugwash and both Reception classes.

Katie Monks

Nursery Supervisor and SENDCO & DSL

Katie has worked at Pugwash since 2009, and is the Nursery Manager. Katie is responsible for the day to day running of the of the Nursery. Katie has a Foundation Degree in Early Years Education and Play Work and a NVQ Level 3 Children's Care Learning and Development. Katie leads on our provision for children in receipt of EYPP and as Nursery SENDco leads on provision for children with additional needs. Katie is pediatric first aid trained and food hygiene. Katie is the Nursery DSL.

Fran Rattray

Senior Nursery Practitioner

Fran has worked at Pugwash Nursery since 2003. Fran is a Senior Practitioner and steps up in Katie's absence. Fran is also a Designated Safeguarding Lead, key person and health and safety coordinator. She qualified in 2008 with her NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Care and Education. Fran's area of interest is Math's. Fran has also completed a Makaton training programme. Fran is pediatric first aid trained and food hygiene.

Katie Bull

Nursery Practitioner

Katie has worked at Pugwash since 2002. She is an experienced practitioner working as a Key Person. She qualified in 2002 with a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years. Katie has an interest for developing early literacy focusing on Phase One phonics. Katie leads on adoption of the Write Stuff approach in Pugwash. Katie has also completed a Makaton training programme. Katie is pediatric first aid trained and food hygiene.

Trish Hayesmore

Nursery Practitioner

Trish has been a member of staff since 2007 and qualified in a City & Guilds Level 2 in Children and Young People's Workforce in 2012. Trish now works 2 days a week and loves interacting with the children, she has a passion for creative learning activities.

Sophie Blattman

Nursery Practitioner

Sophie has been with Pugwash since 2016. Sophie has completed her NVQ Level 3 training here with us in 2019. Sophie is a Key Person and has a passion for music and movement. Sophie runs Balancability sessions with the nursery as well as being a Level 3 Forest School Leader. Sophie enjoys taking the Nursery and Reception children into our Forest School as regularly as possible. Sophie also holds a pediatric first aid, outdoor first aid and food hygiene.

Carly Pearson

Nursery Practitioner

Carly joined us in September 2016. She is an experienced childminder with a passion for the outdoors. She is a key person and runs Balancability sessions within the nursery as well as being a Level 3 Forest School Leader. Carly enjoys taking the nursery and reception children into our Forest School as regularly as possible. Carly also holds a pediatric first aid, outdoor first aid and food hygiene certificates.

Lena Robinson

Nursery Practitioner

Lena started with us in 2018 and has many years experience working in childcare. Lena holds a NVQ Level 3. Lena is using her recent training to lead out provision for children's mental health as well as completing her SENDco training. Lena holds pediatric first aid and food hygiene certificates.

Kat Zelenayova

Nursery Practitioner

Kat joined Pugwash in 2017 initially working as bank staff but we were delighted when she was able to join us full time. Kat holds a Level 3 NVQ pediatric first aid and food hygiene certificates. Kat leads on the planning and provision of Talk for Writing in the nursery and has a passion for the arts and crafts and creating artwork for the children.
