Support from ISEND

There is a range of local support for parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

ISEND Facebook

East Sussex’s ISEND Facebook page is providing daily activities and support for families to access and share within the SEND community. These have been carefully selected and filtered to provide a balance between activities that can be done with children at home and support for managing anxiety.

ISEND are building a bank of activities that don’t require a home computer.

ISEND Education Psychology Helpline

From 18th May 2020, the ISEND Education Psychology service is offering a new parents and carers helpline. The helpline will be available to parents and carers of children with SEND to talk with Education Psychologists (EPs) about various areas of concern, including setting routines, positive behaviour, wellbeing and more.

Parents and carers of children with SEND will need to leave their name and telephone number as well as a very brief description of the kind of support they're looking for and need. Please note that the service is not to be used for complaints or enquiries about EHCP processes

The ISEND phone number to contact is: 01273 481967. An Education Psychologist will call the parent/carer back between 2pm and 4pm on the next Monday, Wednesday or Friday that is available.
