We had a very special visitor in assembly today when Bugsy came along from Pestalozzi Village accompanied by James Bacon.

James and Bugsy explained that they are a local charity offering young people, currently from 9 different countries, the opportunity to access a good education. They come to England to train to become doctors, teachers, builders or leaders then go back to their country to share their knowledge and help less fortunate people.

The assembly linked in very well with the Rights Respecting Schools Project which we are currently involved with and the children were eager to hear how just helping one person can make such a difference to so many people, and the fact that everyone around the world should have the same opportunities. They all agreed that "Helping people is awesome!"
