I would like to warmly welcome you to Rye Community Primary School.
As a member of the Rye Academy Trust, we are part of a family of schools that serve the young people of Rye, enabling us to offer the possibility of a continuous educational journey from the age of 2 to 16. We are proud of our place at the centre of the community, serving local children and families.
Our school is caring, inclusive and is a space where children feel safe and well-looked after. Every child is known as an individual and their special talents are recognised and celebrated.
We believe it is our role to unlock the gifts and talents found in every member of the school community regardless of ability, background or need. Through an imaginative and vibrant curriculum we provide ‘a gateway for learning’ which challenges everyone to achieve their very best and inspires an excitement and love of learning which will carry our children on through their educational journey.
My leadership team and I are wholly committed to ensuring all our children feel happy and valued.
We believe in a strong partnership between home and school. We welcome parents into school to
learn skills and strategies to support their children’s progress and development.
I am delighted to welcome you to our school and invite you to see for yourselves what we have to offer.
Head of School

We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our ‘Child Protection Policy’ which can be viewed in the ‘Policies’ section of our website.
Our Designated Safeguarding Leads are Miss Kelly Martin (Head of School) and Miss Katie Banister (Deputy Manager and SENCo, Pugwash Nursery).
